T-Shirt Cannon

The original design utilized an electric sprinkler valve to initiate the decompression. The push button and 6 volt battery source were housed in the launcher's handle allowing for a compact non intrusive design. The battery holder was salvaged from a small flash light whose button also doubled as a safety feature for the cannon. Unfortunately the solenoid on the cannon was too weak and did not allow for fast enough instantaneous decompression to operate the cannon. After extensive testing with various power sources and sprinkler valves, I decided to replace the entire trigger system with a ball valve.

Original Design

I assembled the cannon's PVC parts that were all carefully primed and cemented to prevent air leaks and possible explosions. The cannon is still in progress as the replaced back section and the ball valve. has yet to be painted, Additionally, I braided a paracord strap that made it easier to aim and carry. A regulator is also yet to be added to ensure safety.
